- The Forge Foundation, helped by community volunteers, provides the annual Thanksgiving Feast at the Providence Forge Recreation Center ensuring that all our neighbors can enjoy a hot meal with all the trimmings for a 99 cent donation. In ten years, the Foundation has served 10,000 Thanksgiving meals!

Community Thanksgiving Feast
Our annual community Thanksgiving feast ensures that everyone will have a hot holiday meal with all the trimmings for a 99 cent donation.
Local school lunch program assistance
The Forge Foundation instituted a lunch money program to assist New Kent schoolchildren who may otherwise go hungry.
Disaster Aid – Fire
We provided clothing and shelter for a local family who lost everything in a house fire.
Disaster Aid – Tornado
In response to massive damage by a tornado which struck the Woodhaven Shores community in 2011, The Forge Foundation created Operation Love Thy Neighbor, and spent 13 weekends removing debris from the neighborhood roads, saving the community more than $1 million. Woodhaven Shores received no local, federal or state aid for this disaster.
